Mr. Fons Van der Ham

 

Fons Van der Ham was born in Drunen (The Netherlands) in 1964. He studied Information Science and Marketing and followed the AMP at IESE Business School in Barcelona.

He started his professional career at Hewlett-Packard in 1988 and worked with HP in The Netherlands, France and Germany. In different senior roles he was responsible for ICT and business alignment within the (European) field of sales and marketing. In 1997 he founded a new Internet marketing unit.

In 1999 Mr. Van der Ham became Country General Manager at SONY responsible for the broadcast and professional business in The Netherlands, followed by his appointment as European Director for the Educational Sector in 2002.

In 2004 he founded his own interim executive practice and acted as interim manager for several organisations, a.o. at Tradeplace, Boer & Croon and the World Trade Centers.

In 2019 Fons van der Ham joined the Materiel and IT Command (COMMIT) as Program Manager International Innovation and he was promoted to Deputy Director in 2022.

On the military side Mr. Van der Ham performed his military service as an officer in communications intelligence in 1987/88. After that he was active as reserve officer in logistics and host nation support. He holds the rank of lieutenant-colonel.

Fons Van der Ham has been active in politics since the eighties and was candidate for the European Parliament in 2019. Mr. Van der Ham is married and he and his wife have 3 adult children.
