Mr. Vassilis Theodosopoulos

 

 

Vassilis Theodosopoulos is a European defence and security expert with research, policy and advocacy experience in government, industry, EU and NATO contexts.

He is currently Manager for Defence and Security at the Aerospace, Security and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD).

In this role, he coordinates and supports the activities of the association’s strategic decision-making bodies for defence and security as well as expert groups on defence industrial policy, export controls and cyber, with the aim of building common industry positions on relevant EU/NATO initiatives and acting as an interlocutor vis-à-vis the European institutions and NATO.

Prior to joining ASD, he held positions at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, the EU Institute for Security Studies, and the European Defence Agency, as well as at the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Permanent Representation to the EU, and Permanent Representation to NATO, where he had the opportunity to work on a broad range of European defence and security issues.

He has an interdisciplinary academic background, holding master’s degrees in International Relations and Contemporary War from King’s College London, in European and International Studies from the University of Athens, and in Advanced Information Systems from the University of Piraeus. He is a Greek national.
